Spring Awareness Walk in Melbourne
G'day Everyone
A group of us from the Melbourne Gnostic Center decided to take advantage of the start of spring and the warming up of the weather to go for an awareness walk. Not to be outdone, the ever unpredictable Melbourne weather started with wind and rain, not ideal conditions :-)
Thankfully, the rain stopped in time for the walk, so we set about trying to break through the clouds of our subconscious more than the sun was managing to break through the clouds overhanging Melbourne.
We set out to really try and investigate something that we wanted to learn about, not just go for another walk...

There is no turning back once we have gotten over the bridge :-) As we were walking across the bridge it started to sway quite alot and started to get hard to walk in a straight line!

A nice lookout to stop and have a chat about how we were all going with our investigations.

Some of the wildlife wanting to get in on the action!

Some great scenery!

We stopped at a waterfall for a while to really ground ourselves in the consciousness with the awareness.
We all then set out again really basing everything off this feeling of consciousness. So all the things that we were investigating we were doing so from the point of consciousness and not from our mind. The feel of the group really lifted at this point.

An interesting sign we came across. In Australian aboriginal mythology, specifically Kulin including Wurundjeri and Bunurong, Bunjil is the supreme god, the creator, represented as an eagle. The Kulin claim he is a totemic culture hero who taught them all the important skills of life, but the Wurundjeri claims he created mankind. He now lives in the sky. Binbeal, the rainbow spirit, is his son. A sky god. Bunjil made men out of clay while his brother, Bat, made women out of water. To mankind Bunjil gave tools, weapons and religious ceremony.

The last rest before we head back over the bridge.
Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed to the walk. I am sure we all got something of value from it and hope that more can be organised in the future!

Thanks Trent,
Good to see your blog!
It's quite strange for me here in Canada to see spring right now....we have fall, nature teaches in its own way, some leaves are just starting to become yellow and some are even red, and some are even fast enough to die so early, giving hope of new spring to bring a new life...also is a great time for awareness walks.
Thanks Trent, The walk was
Thanks Trent,
The walk was very good, I kept pushing for awareness because I did not want to miss out on experiencing what was around us and the beauty of the place we went to. It was invigorating and I felt my consciousness been nurtured by the experience. Thanks Steve for taking it.
Trent there is one photo missing .... you know which one I am talking about!

Looks like a beautiful place for an awareness walk thanks for posting this Trent, it looks so peaceful. I think the Perth crew will have to head out on one sometime soon. Looking forward to catching up with you Melbournites in January.
All the best
